One of Yarm's most historic pubs, the Grade II listed George & Dragon is an 18th-century former market inn and coaching house. In 1820 it hosted the promoters' meeting of the Stockton and Darlington Railway, marked today by a blue plaque. Now a modern local, it's known for craft beers and premium gins, pub food like wings and burgers, and a large beer garden.
