Stockton Council extends one hour free parking in Yarm

This article reports that council leaders have formally agreed to reinstate the first hour of free parking in Stockton and Yarm town centres, reversing a policy that had faced strong opposition from residents and local businesses. Council leader Councillor Lisa Evans said the decision was “the right thing to do,” confirming that the previously introduced parking charges would be scrapped in response to public concern and feedback from traders.
