Pubs and bars in Yarm
Yarm High Street is a popular night out, with pubs, wine bars, a craft beer taproom and cocktail spots all within a short walk of each other.
This guide covers where to go for what, and which places stay open latest.
High Street pubs
The Black Bull (40–42 High Street) is a spacious real ale pub with a wide choice of cask-conditioned beers, British pub food and burgers. Its huge beer garden has its own outdoor bar and heated booths, and it's open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. The Ketton Ox (100 High Street) is a Cask Marque-approved real ale pub and Yarm's go-to for live sport, with a beer garden, pool table and live music. It's dog-friendly and welcomes children.
For a pint with some history, the George & Dragon (70 High Street) is a Grade II listed 18th-century coaching inn where the promoters of the Stockton and Darlington Railway met in 1820. Today it's a modern local known for craft beers, premium gins and a large beer garden.
Osbournes (24 High Street) is a lively pub-bar that runs from breakfast to late, with drink offers and pub food, and it's open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. The Keys (65 High Street) is a gastropub with a broad range of beers, ciders, wines and cocktails, and a sunny terrace with views of Yarm viaduct. It's open until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Craft beer and wine

Yarm is well served for drinking outside. The Black Bull has the biggest beer garden on the High Street, with its own outdoor bar and heated booths for cooler evenings. The George & Dragon and The Ketton Ox both have beer gardens too, and The Keys has a terrace overlooking the viaduct.
For a riverside pint, The Blue Bell is a former 1700s coaching inn on the banks of the River Tees, with local real ales and a riverside beer garden that works in any season. It's open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and also serves Sunday lunch.
